One of Britton's daily chores is to make his bed and clean up his stuffed animals. A greater percentage of the time, this chore results in him saying, "I am not good at making my bed." I am certainly not expecting him to make it perfectly, but I do expect him to try. So usually the chore ends in me helping him make it right. Anyway, he has worked very hard the last few weeks on getting it right and when he brought me in his room this morning, I cheered as it looked so great! He was very proud of himself and he should be!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MAYCEE GRACE

I can't believe it has been one year since Maycee was born! I am welling up with tears as I sit here thinking about the moment she was born- I will never forget it. She is such a sweet little girl and I can't imagine our home without Maycee in it. We have had so much fun the last year watching her grow, learn, and interact with Britton and Abby. We love her! Happy Birthday De De Race!

Yei Yei and Lane's Wedding
Last night Yei Yei aka grandad, married Lane, who he has been dating for about 7 years! They had their wedding at this awesome bed and breakfast in Ft. Collins. It was a very nice evening and Lane and Eric seemed very happy! The kids had so fun being together and of course the evening wouldn't have been complete without Britton and Chloes webkins- Splashes and Buttercup(pictured above) . Brett and Carrie made the trip from Eugene for the wedding and it was so fun to spend time with them! It was a great weekend.

A Little Too Late
I have been trying all day to get a cute picture of Maycee in this adorable valentines dress that was Abbys and everytime I went to take her picture she would look away, or put her head down. I finally got these cute shots of her after dinner, and of course her dress had to come off after she had inhaled some sweet potatoes and ravioli. Oh well, these pictures are still pretty cute.
Happy Love Day!
I love Valentines Day! It is one of my favorite holidays. I will try and forgive Blake for leaving me home alone all day and all night on this favorite holiday of mine (something about skiing with his brother he never sees).
5 Things I love about Blake
1. He is really good at packing the car
2. When ever I leave him home alone, when I come home the house is spotless
3. He is really good at driving in the snow and over mountain passes
4. He flexes his arm muscles whenever he tries on a shirt
5. When he pretends he is auditioning for American Idol

The Fab Five is Coming Back

Don't pretend you're not excited that the original boy band has recently announced they are making a comeback. As soon as I heard this, I started having visions of dancing to their concerts in my basement, with my fellow NKOTB fan Liz. We were true fans, and yes we wrote to the paper to try and persuade the city of Casper to bring them to us. It didn't work. Anyhow, I can't wait to hear what they come out with and I am really hoping that "Tonight" and "Popsicle" make the comeback album.

We have a Walker (and she now has teeth!)
Maycee went about 6 days without leaving the house last week because of the sickness that spread through the house, so she decided since she had some time on her hands she would start walking! She had been taking a few steps, but last week she just got really brave and started walking! She is so strong and is really careful when she walks. It is so cute. Oh and she got her two bottom teeth- just in time for her first birthday next week!
Grandma Visits!
We had so much fun with Grandma coming to visit us! Unfortunately, we all got the cold that Abby and Britton had, so Blake and I were still recovering from being sick when she got here. Grandma Pat is so helpful when she comes and the kids love having her here. She is so good to play with them and Maycee just warmed right up to her! Blake and I were able to take our ski date on Saturday and the kids had fun hanging out with Grandma. We also got to spend Grandmas birthday with her, which was extra special.
Thanks for coming, Mom! We love you!

A Girl and A Comb
Abby is very good at entertaining herself, so if I need to take a shower, I can usually trust her to keep her self busy until I am done. However, yesterday she was a little too good at keeping herself entertained and mangaged to twirl her hair up in this huge comb tighther than I have ever seen hair get stuck in a comb. I tried to stay calm when I first saw it, but when I tried to see where the beginning and end was, I quickly realized it would take a small miracle to unwind this hair she had managed to twirl around this comb. I called my sister to see if she had any secerets, since she has 2 girls and I just assumed this happens all the time. Her ideas were good (conditioner to make it slippery, or cutting the spokes with scissors), but didn't get it undone. I was sure if I cut it she would end up looking like my brothers senior picture from the 80's (a mullet), but I had to give in and cut it. I was pleasantly suprised she didn't look like Michael Bolton when I was done. In fact, you can't really even tell, unless you look closely. Not sure how I got so lucky. Thank goodness.
