Logan Cordell Atnip

My little sister Brittnee had her first little boy today, Logan. He was 8 pounds 1 oz and 21 inches long. I can't believe all his hair. Brittnee sounded very happy and relieved that he was here. I can't wait to meet him!

Too Cute!!!

Like most little kids, Maycee loves animals! She gets so excited when we see a dog or a cat and will usually go up to any of them to see if she can pet them. We had started teaching her the animal sounds and she does a great "Meow, Meow" This week I noticed that whenever she sees a dog, she says "Meow, Meow" I guess we aren't the greatest teachers. It is still super cute because she does it in this high pitched voice, over and over. I love this age!!!!

Weekend

I was thrilled yesterday when Britton said he wanted to participate in the 1 mile race that was happening with the 5K that I was running in. After I finished- he was anxiously awaiting his start time and looked so cute lined up with all the other kiddos ready to run his 1 mile. He had a smile on his face at the beginning and was still smiling when he sprinted to the finish line, so I think he enjoyed himself. I asked him if he ran the whole time or if he stopped and walked and he said, "Well I ran the whole time, but I did stop at all the STOP signs." Very cute. He said his favorite thing about the race was drinking the water at the end.

Maycee said to me" Mom, why did Daniel get fired?" After guessing daniel in the lions den, we finally figured out she was asking about Josh McDaniels.
Maycee came up to me and asked me if her shoes were on the right feet. I told her they were. She replied,"Oh good, I am learning my manners."
Today the girls were talking about Halloween. Maycee informed us she would like to be a freckle.
Maycee was walking around in her princess costume, with a sad look on her face. I asked her what was wrong and she said," I can't find my prince,"
At the swimming pool, Abby asked, "Where is the guard-field?" She meant lifeguard.
Britton said, "Mom, am I earning muscles?"

Britton was cracking jokes the other morning, I started laughing and his response was"Thank you, thank you, I will be here all week."

Britton said about his newly colored picture,"Man, that is impressing." (Instead of impressive)
I said,"What should we have for breakfast?" Britton replied,"I know what I want for breakfast. Grill me up some ribs."
Britton said, "mom you and are a lot a like. We look alike, we have the same skin, we have the same allergic."
Abby was wearing a dress the other day and it was pretty cold outside so I asked her if she wanted to wear some tights. She said,"No, I don't want to wear tights, I will just wear my legs."
We were watching cartoons this morning and a commerical came on for some purse and Abby said, "Mom, do you want that purse?" And then Britton said, "No, Abby mom doesn't need that purse. Its only for people who have to dig and dump." I said,"What are you talking about?" Britton said, "You know, dig and dump for their keys."
As he was leaving for work this morning, Blake said to Abby,"Bye Babe" Abby replied,"Dad, I am not babe, I am sweetie."
"Mom I just hear better than most people. I don't know why, I just do. I mean I can hear up to like 55 million miles away. I am just good at hearing." Britton (with a very matter of fact tone)
I said to Abby, "Dad is funny, huh?" and Abby said,"I don't know mom, I can't smell him."
"Kids, don't try this at home." Britton
"Mom, essentially, this is what is going on." Britton
