Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time

Although I am thrilled to be done with the stress that the Holidays can bring, I am somewhat sad that our time with family and friends is over! We had such a great time over the last two weeks- from celebrating Abbys birthday with my sister Kim and her three kids from Texas, then onto Frisco to a wonderful ski home with some fun memories skiing at Arapahoe Basin, to going to Casper along with all of my siblings and their children. Christmas morning was a sight to be seen, with Santa bringing presents to 12 children and 13 adults. Gifts and yummy food (Blake admitted to eating 12 of my moms scones) were in abundance, we are so blessed.

Fiona had a great point in the movie, Shrek the Halls, Christmas is all about the craziness and sharing it with family.. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of Christmas Morning.

Abby's 3rd Birthday Party

We had so much fun celebrating Abby's birthday today with our wonderful friends and family!

We feel blessed to have such an incredible little girl in our lives.

It never gets old...

taking pictures of yourself! The other night we had Abby laughing so hard as we were taking pictures of ourselves making silly faces. I seriously don't think I have ever heard her giggle so much or so hard. This picture was my favorite because Blake and Abby are making the exact same face!! Not sure why taking pictures of yourself is so entertaining, but we sure had fun with it!

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

Last week Britton had his first major musical performance at his elementary school. They did a really cute Rudolph themed music performance that was adorable! The kids did such a great job singing (or shall I say screaming) all of the songs that they have worked so hard for. The Kindergarten classes did a performance all by themselves and the gym was packed! I couldn't believe how many people were there. Anyway, it was a great night and Britton looked so cute with his antlers and red nose! Pictured with him is his good friend Ashley. He has asked me several times if he is allowed to marry Ashley.

Giving into temptation

I have always been taught not to give into what everyone else is doing, but in this case, I just can't help myself. I have had so much fun reading friends and family members blogs, that I just had to jump on the bandwagon. I think it is such a great way to record daily moments with my kids that otherwise I may forget!

Does She Look Like a He?

I am amazed sometimes at how many times I have been asked if Maycee is a "he or a she?" She is usually dressed in pink or some sort of girl color and in my opinion has a very feminine look about her. The other day Maycee was crawling around in a play area and crawled right up to another mom who was sitting there. The other mom started talking about Maycee, referring to her as a HE- about 5 or 6 times. I thought, well she isn't wearing pink, but her hair is in a ponytail and her shirt clearly says "PRINCESS" I tried not to take it too personal.
